The machine is controlled by a PLC that becomes damaged,
unavailable, and difficult to replace any devices connect to the plc because
it is connected to it by a canopen communication protocol.
Solutions

*We replaced the microcontroller unit with a TM221 series PLC
with sufficient and spare I/O pins
*Wiring modifications were made to dispose old integrated circuits and
adding its functionality to PLC which reduced the size of control panel and
also the components used, facilitating maintenance process and
troubleshooting in case of fault occurance.
